This website, neerajarorawrites.com, is run by Neeraj Arora. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. In short: I collect very little, I never sell it, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.

What I collect

When you join Letters from the Desk. Your email address, so I can send you the newsletter. The list is managed through Mailchimp, which stores your address and records basic information such as whether an email was opened.

When you use the contact form. Your name, email address, the subject you choose and your message, so I can reply. Messages are delivered to my inbox and stored on the website’s server.

Automatically. Like every website, the server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to keep the site running. I do not use these to identify you.

How I use it

Only to send the newsletter you signed up for, reply to your messages, and keep the site secure. I do not sell, rent or trade your information, and I do not use it for advertising.

Services I rely on

• Hostinger hosts the website.
• Mailchimp (Intuit) manages the newsletter list and may store data outside India.
• WPForms handles the contact form.

Each follows its own privacy policy.

Cookies

The site uses only the cookies needed for it to work properly, such as those that speed up page loading. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it currently uses no analytics tools.

Links to other sites

Book links take you to Amazon and other retailers. Once you leave this site, their privacy policies apply, not this one.

Children

Many of my books are for children, but this website is meant for adults: parents, teachers and readers. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a child has sent me their details, write to me and I will delete them.

How long I keep it

Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond, and are deleted periodically after that.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. You can also ask me to see, correct or delete any information I hold about you, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and any other law that applies to you. Just write to the address below.

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page.
